With summer fast approaching, weather improving, and impending beach days, it is the right time to find a new workout regimen. Lucky for us, Boston has tons of free fitness opportunities!
On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 6:30am you can find neon-clad groups gathering for their early morning workout. You may be thinking, “Dang, that’s early!” But it is so worth it. I have been attending November Project workouts during my off season, when there are no crew practice conflicts, for the last 2 years or so. The group is founded on the idea of #grassrootsfitness and a #riseandgrind mentality.
So, whether you’re in Boston, DC, San Francisco, or any of the other 13 cities the movement has expanded to, you’ll have a great workout that begins and ends with hugs and high fives!
Now this is something I’m excited about. New Balance has recently announced #NBGNO, their push for a “Happier Hour”. Their web app allows you to find or create fitness nights out with your girlfriends. But the coolest part definitely has to be their launch events — one in Boston on May 15 and the other in NYC on May 20. Each include a short fun run to be followed up with DJs, dance moves, and drinks. Definitely something you won’t want to miss out on!
Every Monday at 6pm, the lululemon store in the Prudential Center meets up for a weekly run! You can swing by their store, at the top of the stairs at the Boylston Street entrance, and join them for a good run with good people.
